The Red Ladder, Incorporated was founded by Megan Hoiosen as an educational consulting and learning products company. She wanted to provide teachers with supplemental materials to help with the learning process.

Gaining Ground
Megan taught grades kindergarten through 2 nd grade in Idaho in the Meridian School District for 6 years. She was a private tutor for three years with children K-9 th grade. She received her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Northwest Nazarene University in 1999.

In her search for curriculum to use with her faltering readers, she found little. Not content to see her students continue to lose ground, she began to develop the program that is now Help Me Read™.

Reading & Testing Success
With her practical background and education, Megan had all the tools to put together a program that would help teachers who have little or no time to prepare more reading material. Her in-depth understanding of testing and its impact on students, teachers and schools has helped her not only help children become successful readers but has also helped them attain better test scores.
